Splitting and Merging packages is a form of package creation that allows for new packages to be created from existing packages. Only the barcode scanner may be used while using this function. Since RFID is indiscriminate and could easily add tags that are not meant to be added, RFID scanning is not available.
When using this function, Available Quantity will be monitored to help prevent mistakes.

If needed, package tag ids can be manually typed in (without using the barcode scanner) by tapping the Type In button.
Merge mode
In this mode a new package tag will be scanned first and then multiple existing packages will be added to it as ingredients. This process can be repeated for many new packages.
