Tag Scan

This function conducts a basic tag scan with either the RFID or barcode scanner. For inventory purposes the Validation function is far superior. The primary use case of this function is to view information about tags currently in-hand. 

Example

You find five tags lying on the floor and have no idea what they are or where they belong. You could use the Lookup function, but the suffix of each tag would have to be typed in manually. Using the Tag Scan feature, you can quickly scan all five tags and then tap on each tag ID to view information on each.

Note: Both barcode and RFID scanning can be used in this mode.

Internet Usage

While an internet connection is not needed to scan tags, it is needed to view information about that tag.
