The Seek-and-Find feature is a very powerful tool that can help locate a particular plant or package in just minutes. It does this by displaying a "Geiger" bar representing how close the user is to the chosen RFID tag and audibly BEEPing to get the user's attention.
Adding Tags to the Seek-and-Find List
A binocular icon is displayed to the left of all tag IDs. Tap this icon to either add or remove a tag from the Seek-and-Find list. The icon turns and remains green for as long a tag is in the list. In this example we are adding tags from the Validation screen, but tags can be added from any screen where there is a binocular icon.
Choose the tag(s) to be searched for from the tag list. | Tap the icon to add them to the Seek-and-Find list. | Return to the Main Menu screen and navigate to the Seek-and-Find screen. The chosen tags will be displayed. |
Searching for Tags
Once the chosen tags have been added to the Seek-and-Find list, start the RFID scan. See this article for more detail on RFID settings.
The read strength of a tag is indicated by how full the Geiger bar is. | The signal strength will increase the closer you are to the tag. Changing the direction the device is pointing will also affect this value. | Once you get close to a tag, you can reduce the RF power output to help zero in on the tag in question. |
Once a tag is located, tap the binocular icon to remove it from the Seek-and-Find list. Note: The tag will remain displayed on this screen until the screen is refreshed. This allows the tag to be added back to the list if the icon is accidentally tapped.
