The Destroy function is used to quickly and easily destroy multiple plants. Only the barcode scanner may be used while using this function. Since RFID is indiscriminate and could easily add tags that are not meant to be added, RFID scanning is not available.
Setup
Start by setting State Required fields. For CA and OR this will only be a "Note" field. For all others, this will include a "Reason", "Method", "Note", and "Mixture" |
The selected values will be displayed. Once set, these values cannot be changed until the report is reset. These values will be assigned to all plants added to this report. |
Use the "Tap to Collapse" button to make more room for the plant list section. |
Adding Plants for Destruction
Pulling the trigger will turn on the barcode scanner. When a plant tag is scanned an audible BEEP can be heard, and the barcode scanner will turn off. Release the trigger and squeeze again to scan the next plant. |
The slider under the "Tap to expand" button can be used to toggle the weighing mode: Distributed or individual. |
Setting a destroy weight (Metrc states except OR, CA)
The Desperado Handheld offers two methods for capturing the destroy weight of plants. Weights can be recorded individually for each plant, or multiple plants can we weighed at once and that weight distributed to the plants.
Plants can be weighed individually. In this mode, every time a plant is scanned a prompt will appear asking for a weight - in grams | Multiple plants can be weighed at once and the 'bulk weight' can be distributed over the recently scanned plants. |
In 'Distribute' mode, the entered weight will only be applied to new plants that haven't yet had a weight assigned. For example: You scan the barcodes of 5 plants, then tap the "Distribute weight" button and enter in "500"; each of those 5 plants will get "100 grams" assigned to it. Within the same "Destroy report", you scan another 3 plants, tap the "Distribute weight" button, and enter "600"; those 3 plants will get "200 grams" assigned to them, and the original 5 will be untouched.
Removing a tag
If a tag/plant is accidentally scanned, or needs to be removed for any reason, the X icon to the far right will do so. A popup will ask for confirmation first, though, so a plant isn't accidentally removed.
Internet Usage
An internet connection is only needed to upload the report when finished. This means that the destroy feature can be used in areas of a facility with no internet connection. After a batch is complete, the unit can be brought to another area with WiFi where the report can be uploaded.
