If utilizing Outlaw Technology’s custom Item-Level RFID Flag Tags or QR-Serialized, you have the option to print product-specific details on the tags or use them without printing.
If using tags, either Outlaw’s RFID or QR-only serialized tags, they must be assigned/linked to a specific product via the Tag Link Function. This allows Outlaw to know which items are tagged with a specific tag ID. If the tags are RFID enabled, you can RF scan, leverage seek and find, and Scan Audit functionality.
|
From the Main Menu, select Tag Link. |
Three modes are available on the Tag Link page: First and Last Serialization, One-to-One Serialization, and Unlink button.
You can review associated Package/Metrc IDs by selecting the View Package List button.
The First and Last Serialization allows associating unique RFID/QR tags to a specific package. Multiple unique item IDs can be assigned to a specific Product/Metrc Package ID with three scans.
- Set mode to: First and Last
- In any order, scan the first serial number in sequence, the last serial number in sequence, and then scan the Package/Product ID.
- You can associate as many ‘batches’ or packages in a report as you would like.
- Once complete, select Upload and name the report for internal records.
Best use cases: all inbound products. Scan at the time of product receipt and inbound manifest acceptance in your POS system (Dutchie) when tags are printed.
One to One Serialization associates one serialized tag ID at a time.
- Set mode to One-to-One
- Scan the Outlaw QR code
- Scan the Package/Product ID.
- The system will link the QR( or RFID) to that particular product
Best use cases: one-off associations.
Unlink allows for the undoing of associations within the same report. Once a report has been uploaded to the Oultink Web Console, the only way to unlink those tags is to ‘Break’ the association (see here on the
instructions).
- Set Mode to Unlink
- Scan Outlaw QR code to unlink
- Can only be used for one serial at a time
Best use cases: one-off associations. To un-associate an entire batch, break the association in the console.
Once associations are complete, select the upload report button, name the report, and submit it to Outlink Maverick Console for review.
